After close consultation with exhibitors and partners, drupa, the world’s leading trade show for print technologies, has had to be cancelled for 2021 due to the effects of the corona pandemic. The next event will take place from May 28 to June 7, 2024, as scheduled. Until then, the organizers are bridging the time window with “virtual.drupa”, a four-day digital event. The date of “virtual.drupa” falls within the period originally planned for drupa: April 20 to 23, 2021.
What does the four-day ‘virtual.drupa’ next April look like?
Launched in October, the drupa preview platform already gives an idea of what ‘virtual.drupa’ will look like. It will give companies the opportunity to showcase themselves and their innovations virtually, as well as maintain existing contacts and establish new ones via the matchmaking feature. In addition, the conference schedule of the five drupa hot spots will provide key incentives and set the agenda for an online transfer of knowledge.
Why would it be worth my while to take part?
The new digital forum’s reliable pillar and primary focus is a digital platform, offering the industry an opportunity to maintain valuable communications within the drupa community until 2024.
When and how will I be able to register for virtual.drupa? When will details be published regarding the content and presentation options on offer?
Registration starts as usual via an online booking process in early January. Specific information regarding digital services and terms of participation will shortly be available on www.drupa.com.
Are there different packages available?
There is a fixed basic package for all exhibitors, which can be extended on request. For a description of services and costs, please visit www.drupa.com
For any further questions, please contact your respective member of our exhibitor liaison team: https://www.drupa.com/en/Contact/Team
How much does it cost?
The basic package for virtual participation costs €4,900. You can book this from the beginning of 2021 online, as usual.
Will exhibitors who have already cancelled be able to take part?
The offer is aimed at the entire industry – manufacturers and suppliers to the Print & Packaging industry. Completely new contractual relationships will be set up. As a result, exhibitors who had previously cancelled their drupa presence due to the coronavirus pandemic, will be able to register for the new format.
When will I be able to register for the 2024 event?
Registrations for drupa 2024 are expected to open from 2022.
Will exhibitors be allocated the same stand location at the next event?
When planning the layout, we take great care to organise halls predominantly according to product categories. Should you have specific requests at this time, we will do our best to take those into account for drupa 2024.
